Local Fresh Hawaiian Yellow Ginger from Rayburn Farm
A strong and spicy variety with sweet back notes.
This is fresh ginger which means there is no hardened outer skin to peel. Stores fresh for about 3 weeks, at which point it may be cured or frozen for longer keeping.
Michael Rayburn recommends freezing fresh ginger to use all year. Simply pull out a piece for grating, as needed! No need to thaw. Alternatively, fresh ginger may be juiced and then the juice can be stored in the freezer, as well.
