“These are the best peppers,” says Jess Whaley, who grew them at her plot in Black Mountain. “They’re Italian frying peppers, but they’re good any way: raw, roasted, stuffed. They’re a versatile pepper.”

Each unit weighs half a pound. It contains a pint basket with three peppers in mixed colors.
