Local “World’s Best” Spinach from Whaley Farmstead
“Do you want some of the world’s best spinach?” asked Jess Whaley, who sold us this spinach. Of course we said yes.
A mix of two varieties: Carmel and Red Kitten. Red Kitten is our favorite — it’s crisp and crunchy.
These are mid-size spinach leaves, a bit bigger than baby spinach. Great for salad or a sautee.
”You will be feeling like Popeye in no time!” Jess says.
Grown in Black Mountain at Whaley Farmstead, where everything is grown by hand using organic practices.
